I am asking for your support in electing me to the Carmel Unified School District Board of Education for Trustee Area 1 on November 5, 2024. I am excited to bring my experience and dedication back to the board to address key areas for our district’s continued growth and success.
During my tenure on the CUSD Board from 2011 to 2019, the district consistently achieved its highest rankings at both the state and national levels. I am eager to return and help CUSD regain its momentum.
Together, with the support of our incredible students, parents, teachers, and community members, I believe we can once again make CUSD the best it can be.

My Story
I am a long-time Carmel Unified School District parent and a successful business owner in the area. My husband and I have four children, all of whom attended Carmel schools and graduated from Carmel High School. As an active parent, I participated in many parent organizations and proudly served on the CUSD Board for eight years. Today, my children are living successful lives, and they remain our pride and joy. I am eager to continue giving back to our community and serving the district as I did for many years with dedication and success.
Goals

Enhancing Student Achievement for ALL Students
I will advocate for a well-rounded, inclusive curriculum that addresses the needs of our diverse student body. Whether students are college-bound or pursuing technical careers, it is essential that they have opportunities to thrive. As part of this commitment, I propose the development of a Career Technical Education (CTE) school at Carmel Valley High School to better serve students interested in pursuing career-focused education.

Community Engagement
I will prioritize strengthening community involvement in educational initiatives and encourage greater participation from parents and community members in school activities and decision-making processes. By enhancing communication channels between the school board, parents, and the broader community, I aim to promote transparency and foster a spirit of collaboration.

Financial Management
Responsible budgeting and transparent financial practices are essential to sustaining and improving our educational programs. I will advocate for the effective use of district funds to enhance educational offerings and infrastructure, while ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial matters.
